What is an ARW file?
ARW – Sony RAW photo. ARW is a RAW photo format from Sony: the data straight from the camera's sensor, before it is turned into a JPG. It keeps more detail to adjust, but needs a RAW converter to be opened.

- Choose a quality in Options: lower numbers make a smaller AVIF with less detail.
- ARW files are developed on our server with the camera's own white balance, then saved as AVIF. Expect a good-looking picture, not a replacement for your RAW editor.
- Tick Remove metadata in Options to leave out information stored in the picture, such as the camera and the place.
