PDF – PDF document. PDF is the document format that looks the same on every device: it fixes where each letter and picture goes on a page. It is made for reading and printing, not for editing.

Good to know
- The WPD file is opened by LibreOffice. Fonts it does not have are replaced, so line and page breaks can differ a little from the program that made the file.
- WPD is read by LibreOffice's import filter for it; very complex formatting can be simplified.
- The PDF has the text and pictures of the WPD file on pages of the same size.
- Choose which pages to convert in Options, for example 1-3,5.
- Tick PDF/A in Options for a file meant for long-term archiving: it embeds its fonts and avoids features that may stop working in future.
Frequently asked questions
Is converting WPD to PDF free?
Yes. Everyone gets 25 free credits a day, with no account needed. Conversions on our server use one credit per started minute of work, so most cost a single credit. Credits reset at midnight UTC.
Are my WPD files uploaded anywhere?
This conversion runs on our server, because reading a WPD file needs LibreOffice, which does not run in a browser. Your file is sent over an encrypted connection, and both it and the result are deleted 72 hours after the conversion. The server has no internet access while it works on your file.
How large can the WPD file be?
Up to 1 GB per file. This conversion runs on our server, which accepts files up to that size.
Will the PDF look the same as the WPD?
The pages keep their text, pictures and layout. A WPD file that uses fonts the converter does not have is shown with similar ones, so lines can break in different places.
Can I convert several WPD files at once?
Yes. Add as many files as you like; they are converted one after another, and each one gets its own Download button.
Can I choose pages or quality for the PDF?
Yes. Click Options next to the file. Only the settings that make sense for WPD to PDF are shown, including which pages to convert.
