MOBI – Mobipocket e-book. MOBI is the e-book format of Mobipocket, once the format of Kindle e-readers. Older Kindles open it; newer ones prefer EPUB or AZW3. Books bought in a store often have DRM, which stops them from being converted.

- The OEB e-book is made by calibre from the text, headings and pictures of the MOBI file; a cover is not created.
