What is a PS file?
PS – PostScript document. PS (PostScript) is the page description language printers understand. A .ps file describes one or more pages of text and graphics, and needs an interpreter such as Ghostscript to be drawn.

Good to know
- Choose a quality in Options: lower numbers make a smaller AVIF with less detail.
- A PS file can hold several pages. AVIF holds one picture, so when there is more than one page you get a ZIP with an AVIF for each page.
- PS pages are drawn at 300 dpi by Ghostscript on our server; choose another resolution in Options.
- Tick Remove metadata in Options to leave out information stored in the picture, such as the camera and the place.

Is converting PS to AVIF free?

Can I change the size or quality of the AVIF?
