Are my DOCX files uploaded anywhere?

Plain text, Markdown, HTML and Word files, and PDFs turned into pictures or text, are converted inside your browser and never leave your device. Other conversions, and files over 200 MB, are sent to our server over an encrypted connection and deleted 72 hours after the conversion; the server has no internet access while it works on your file. The button says "Upload and convert" whenever that happens.

How large can the DOCX file be?

Files up to 200 MB are converted right in your browser. Larger files, up to 1 GB, are converted on our server.

Will the TXT look the same as the DOCX?

No: a TXT file holds only the text. Fonts, colors, tables and pictures are not kept.
