- The PPS file is opened by LibreOffice, not by Microsoft Office. Text, tables, pictures and ordinary charts convert accurately; effects such as SmartArt, animations, some chart styles and fonts LibreOffice does not have can look different from Office, so check a complex file before relying on it.
- A slide show is a presentation that opens straight into the show; the slides are converted as they are.
- Each page becomes a picture. A document with more than one page comes back as a ZIP with a JPG for each page, drawn at 150 dots per inch unless you choose otherwise in Options.
- The text in the pictures cannot be selected or searched.

Will the JPG look the same as the PPS?
The pages keep their text, pictures and layout. A PPS file that uses fonts the converter does not have is shown with similar ones, so lines can break in different places.
