What is a PPSX file?
PPSX – PowerPoint slide show. PPSX is a PowerPoint slide show: the same slides as a PPTX, but it opens straight into the show instead of the editor. Converting it gives you the slides as a PDF, pictures or an editable presentation.
PPSX Converter →What is an MD file?
MD – Markdown document. Markdown is plain text with a few marks (# for headings, ** for bold, - for lists) that tools turn into formatted pages. It is the usual format of README files, notes and documentation.

Good to know
- The PPSX file is opened by LibreOffice, not by Microsoft Office. Text, tables, pictures and ordinary charts convert accurately; effects such as SmartArt, animations, some chart styles and fonts LibreOffice does not have can look different from Office, so check a complex file before relying on it.
- A slide show is a presentation that opens straight into the show; the slides are converted as they are.
- The text of the slides is kept, with titles as headings and lists as lists. Pictures and shapes are not included.
- Headings, lists, tables, bold and italic are kept as Markdown; pictures in the document are not included.
Frequently asked questions
Is converting PPSX to MD free?
Yes. Everyone gets 25 free credits a day, with no account needed. Conversions on our server use one credit per started minute of work, so most cost a single credit. Credits reset at midnight UTC.
Are my PPSX files uploaded anywhere?
This conversion runs on our server, because reading a PPSX file needs LibreOffice, which does not run in a browser. Your file is sent over an encrypted connection, and both it and the result are deleted 72 hours after the conversion. The server has no internet access while it works on your file.
How large can the PPSX file be?
Up to 1 GB per file. This conversion runs on our server, which accepts files up to that size.
Will the MD look the same as the PPSX?
The text and structure are kept: headings, lists, tables, bold and italic. Exact page layout, fonts and spacing may differ, because MD is flowing text, not fixed pages.
Can I convert several PPSX files at once?
Yes. Add as many files as you like; they are converted one after another, and each one gets its own Download button.
