What is a PPSX file?
PPSX – PowerPoint slide show. PPSX is a PowerPoint slide show: the same slides as a PPTX, but it opens straight into the show instead of the editor. Converting it gives you the slides as a PDF, pictures or an editable presentation.

JPG – JPEG image. JPG is the most common photo format. A page converted to JPG is a picture of it: the text can no longer be selected, but every device shows it.

Good to know
- The PPSX file is opened by LibreOffice, not by Microsoft Office. Text, tables, pictures and ordinary charts convert accurately; effects such as SmartArt, animations, some chart styles and fonts LibreOffice does not have can look different from Office, so check a complex file before relying on it.
- A slide show is a presentation that opens straight into the show; the slides are converted as they are.
- Each page becomes a picture. A document with more than one page comes back as a ZIP with a JPG for each page, drawn at 150 dots per inch unless you choose otherwise in Options.
- The text in the pictures cannot be selected or searched.
Frequently asked questions
Is converting PPSX to JPG free?
Yes. Everyone gets 25 free credits a day, with no account needed. Conversions on our server use one credit per started minute of work, so most cost a single credit. Credits reset at midnight UTC.
Are my PPSX files uploaded anywhere?
This conversion runs on our server, because reading a PPSX file needs LibreOffice, which does not run in a browser. Your file is sent over an encrypted connection, and both it and the result are deleted 72 hours after the conversion. The server has no internet access while it works on your file.
How large can the PPSX file be?
Up to 1 GB per file. This conversion runs on our server, which accepts files up to that size.
Will the JPG look the same as the PPSX?
The pages keep their text, pictures and layout. A PPSX file that uses fonts the converter does not have is shown with similar ones, so lines can break in different places.
Can I convert several PPSX files at once?
Yes. Add as many files as you like; they are converted one after another, and each one gets its own Download button.
Can I choose pages or quality for the JPG?
Yes. Click Options next to the file. Only the settings that make sense for PPSX to JPG are shown, including which pages to convert.
